West Vancouver District Coun- cil gave final approval to the agreement Monday night, months after approving it in principle last November. Ald. Pat Boname noted that the yacht club is ahead of schedule in the agreed upon -emoval of the 15 Parkway vessels moored in the 1.5-acre area. While the area had been managed by the club for some time, it had not been part of the club’s lease. In November, council decided that all vessels, mooring buoys and rigging must be removed from the area by June 30, 1992. Ald. Carol Ann Reynolds cast the sole vote against granting the lease, arguing that Eagle Harbour Yacht Club should get the same treatment as West Vancouver Yacht Club, which had had its lease reduced from 2§ to 10 years. “I think 25 years is a long time,’’ she said.
