THE NORTH Shore Winter Bali is fast becoming a tradition for North

and West Vancouver families.

And the fourth annual ball will
be no exception because this year
the ball will be bigger than ever.

‘*‘What we want to do is create a
festive family atmosphere much
like a joyous family wedding,"
says Arlene Gladstone, executive
director of North Shore Family
Services Society.

Gladstone is expecting 500 ball-
goers, ranging in age from small
children to great grandparents, to
attend the ball held in the Hyatt
Regency Ballroom Dec. 17.

go to the sexual abuse support
system on the North Shore which
requires $82,000 per year to
operate.

vivors of sexual abuse,’’ Gladstone
says.

In 1988 the ball raised $11,000
and this year Gladstone predicts a
record $20,000 will be raised for
the treatment program

Also new this year to the ball is
corporate sponsorship provided by
Bull Houser and Tupper,
Grosvenor International Holdings
Ltd., Intrawest, North Shore
Credit Union and the North Shore
News.
