The beer was $1.25 a bottle, and the total bill was $6.95, in- cluding a sandwich that would have been far too big for either of @rian manned it before we , us if we hadn’t split it. On the menu was one of my favorites — mussel chowder — for $2.25. Didn't try it — sorry now. If it’s as good as that sandwich...! ett At the Harbor Store, I bought one helluva cookbook. Brian winced at the price — $16.95 US — but I patiently explained that if you get only one marvellous recipe from a cookbook you’re instantly repaid. It sells Chinese imports — dishes, napkins, knick-knacks as we Food is served from noon till 5 p.m. The menu is very limiteé — grab a bite and run. Won Ton soup is $2.25 (small), $3 (large). You can get six pot-stickers for $2.25 or three steamed buns for $1.35. You can’t miss it — it’s the only place in town anything like it. If you try it, let me know — it looked good to me. eee This bit has little to do with Whidbey Island except that’s where I heard about it.
