-Man jailed for theft A 33-YEAR-OLD Vancouver mas was sentenced June 7 in North Vancouver provincial court to two days in jail and placed on proba- tion for one year after he pleaded guilty to two counts of theft under $1,000. Godfrey Paul was originally charged in connection with Dec. 14, 1988 incidents in which a lady’s suit was stolen from Sears Canada Inc. and a men’s woo! coat stolen from Tip Tip Tailors Ltd. Appearing before Judge W.J. Diebolt, Paul pleaded guilty to both charges and was sentenced to 2 day in jail on each. Two charged with pot cultivation TWO NORTH Vancouver men have been charged with two nar- cotics-related counts in connection with an alleged marijuana cultivation operation. Aran Michael Goody, 22, and Christopher Redmond Goody, 26, are charged jointly with cultivating marijuana and possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking in connection with a March 20 seizure of the drug from a home in the 1300-block of West 17th Street in North Vancouver City. The two are scheduled to appear Sept. 18 in court for prelimi- nary hearing on the charges. Woman fined for ring theft A 24-YEAR-OLD Vancouver woman was fined $1,000 Wednesday ia North Vancouver provincial court after she pleaded guilty to a charge of theft over $1,000. Nadine Bolpitt was originally charged in connection with an in- cident that occurred between Jan. 28 and 31, 1987 in which a ring was stolen from another female in the District of North Vancouver.
