which are scanned by a lensometer
that provides, within seconds, a
print-out of the lens strength, The
glasses and print-out are then put
into a clear plastic packet for
distribution by doctors.
Tinworth provides collection
boxes for church congregations,
which are interested in rounding
up the used glasses.
“To give them away requires no
sacrifice to the donor but opens up
new possibilities for people who
may be despairing.’’
