Frontage tax approved

FRONTAGE TAXES for a
five- and ten-year period
were given initial approval
by North Vancouver District
Council at a meeting May 6.

The first tax is imposed
for the years 1985 to 1989 at
the rates and according to
the procedures set out in the
General Local Improvement
Cost-Sharing Bylaw. The tax
is placed upon the lands
benefitting from work at the
Cloverley/Shavington Lane
Construction and the
Philip/MacGowan Lane
Construction. $1,423.27
must be raised for the first
project and $2,024.61 for the
second.

A ten-year frontage tax is
imposed on lands benefitting
from the following works:
Newmarket, Aurora,
Crescentview, Highland,

Street Reconstruction
($12,952.90 to be raised);
West 3rd Street, Street
Reconstruction ($380.64 to
be raised); Del Rio Drive,
Street Reconstruction
(31,830.53 to be raised); and
