Hayden a ‘knee jerk’ liberal

Dear Editor:
Hayden Stewart seems
open minded, fair and

balanced when discussing
personal, one-on-one
problems but can get quite
hysterical and unbalanced
when discussing a larger
question involving society at

large. government or
politics.

In your Sunday News
August 16, an enquirer

asked him what .he thought
of large scale immigration of
races- who generally chose
not to integrate, to the point
they may be in the majority.
A fair question to ask in a

free country where the
government has a
multicultural policy and
where the public is not

allowed to vote upon or
express their view.

Hayden Stewart is ob-
viously a knee jerk love the
world liberal who knows best
and insults the questioner.

His insults:

—"If you believe that clap
trap”

—"“Is there any possibility
that your nose is so high in
the air that... ~

—“Can you back off for a
moment and ask yourself a
question or two"

—"“Perhaps your family is
too small”

—"Perhaps you feel God's
children are only pink”

—“No wonder you're
scared”

—"“Why
human race"

—"I am snarly... because
I'm aprehensive about
narrow minded bigots”

Quite a few uncalled-for
insults from one “liberal, fair
thinking” Canadian to an
innocent enquirer!

Hayden Stewart should
remember that Canadians
have been the most generous
(some call it stupid!) nation
in the world to other races.
But Hayden will not allow a
questioning of where such an
open handed giveaway might
end.

Our housing shortage, our
unemployment, our huge
government deficit, could be
blamed to a large extent on
immigration promoted at
such a fast pace that we
cannot cope. Without having
a vote we are bequeathing a
new environment [to our
children, an environment
which has never proved
workable anywhere in the
world in all history. But
people like Hayden Stewart
feel if they exhort and insult
everyone enough to be full
of “love” and “God's
Children” that then = our
ensuing expermence will be
unique and = marvellous

Begging the question

illogic in his diatribe. 1.e.
“What illogic prompts tke
enquirer to think this 1s “our
part of the world.”

There is no illogic. Canada
is a sovereign state. We have
the right to admit or exclude
anyone we choose. It 1s
Hayden who is illogical in
thinking ‘others have the
“right.” Foreigners, in fact.
have no “right” we extend to
them. if we wish. a privilege.

Icis my belief the majority
of citizens in Canada would
stop immigration nght now,
dead. if given a_ free
referendum. The privilege to
vote or even to question and
discuss the subject is one
that the professional
“democratic” liberal in-
telligentsia will not extend to
the citizen voters as they. the
liberal intelthgentsia,
what is best for us.
