Capilano College Blues men’s and women’s basketball teams added _ four points each to their Totem Conference league totals as each team swept both ends of their respective double-headers from Prince George’s College of New Caledonia Carriers in weekend action at the Delbrook Gymnasium. In the men’s game Friday night, the Blues got off to a very slow start, plodding through the first 17 minutes of the half before Doug Hale came off the bench to ignite the Blues attack. Hale stole the ball twice and scored six _ Straight points in the dying minutes of the first half, to get Cap College rolling on their way to a 91-75 route of the Carriers. Craig Freeman turned in his usual strong. per- formance, controlling the boards, dishing off the ball, and leading the scoring parade with 27 points. Phil deVooght, Ken Sherk, Doug Hale, and Terry Cameron ail hit double figures chipping in a dozen points each. New Caledonia knotted the score at 49 all with 23 seconds left in the game, but the Blues stalled, gambling on the last shot and the tactic paid off.
