This old pizza war-horse is
undergoing a gradual renaissance
under the ownership of Debra
and Peter Milcak.

italian Classic Pizzas such as
Funghi (topped with mushrooms
and roasted garlic); Proscuitto
con Pomodori (shaved
Proscuitto, red peppers and
tomatoes); Capri (shrimp, tomato
‘- and roasted garlic) have replaced
the standard-issue pizzas
churned out for so long at this
nondescript mid-Lonsdale loca-
tion.

Milcak, who worked for many
years as the head waiter at Deep
.Cove’s elegant Savory restaurant,
also owns Déep Cove Pizza.

The Milcaks took over the
Colosseum last June and have
been making changes slowly
since then. Plans for the
Colosseum include adding craft
beer, cappuccinos and, perhaps,
Friday and-Saturday night j jazz.

A new outdoor balcony has
already been added in anticipa-
tion of summer service. .
