Connell heads into Davis Cup play

teaming up with Glean Michihats
of Etobicoke, Ont.

The Dutch team features Paul
Haarhuis, Mark Koesermans, fan
Siemerink and Michiel Schapers.
As No. 60 in singles and No. 36 in
doubles, Haarhuis is the visiting
team's highest: ranked phaser. He
and Koesermans made the doubles
semi-finals at the French Open in
June.

On the Canadian side, Senajder
is the highest singles ranked pliyer
at No. 92 in che world, with Con-
nell sliding in behind at No, 93.

900 participate
in Coho run

THE COHO run is turning out to
be as popular as its counterpart,
the Coho Festival.

This year, more than 900 run-
ners competed in the Sept. 9, 14-
km run which followed a route
from Ambleside Beach over the
Lions Gate Bridge through Stanley
Park and English Bay to Kitsilano
Beach.

Competing in the age 20-34
women's category, Kirsten Vinge
of Vancouver recorded the fastest
women’s time of the day at 55.33.

The top. overall winner was a = an
