B22 - Wednesday, April 4, 1984 - North Shore News THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF NORTH VANCOUVER ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENTS — NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the City of North Vancouver, pursuant to Section 720 of the Municipal Act of British Columbia, that a Public Hearing will be held on MONDAY, Apri 9, 1984, at 700 PM, proposed amendments to the ‘‘Zoning By-law, 1967, No. 3778" BYLAWS NO. 5446 and 5480 Bylaws to amend the text of the “Zoning By-law, 1967'' insotar as it concerns the following commercial and industrial zones in the City of North Vancouver: C-1 CENTRAL COMMERCIAL CS-1 SERVICE COMMERCIAL C-2 GENERAL COMMERCIAL CS-2 SERVICE STATION COMMERCIAL CS-3 SPECIAL COMMERCIAL W-1 WATERFRONT M-4 INDUSTRIAL-COMMERCIAL BYLAW NO. 5446 will amend the definitions tor ‘retail service group 1 use’’, ‘retail service group 2 use’’, and ‘‘industrial area commercial uSe’’ so as to exclude from such permitted uses licensed premises which hold an ‘‘A’’, “C’', “D’', “E", of “F" licence as defined under the regulations pursuant to the Liquor Control and Licensing Act, and will exclude the establishment of licensed premises in the M-4 Industrial- Commercial Zone. (It is proposed to amend the draft By-law No. 5446 to exciude licens- ed premises holding an ‘'A’’, ‘‘C’, *'D’, ‘‘E’', or “F’’ licence from those uses permitted in the W-1 Waterfront Zone) The proposed amending By-law No. 5446 will have the effect of requiring an application to amend the Zoning By-law with respect to any specific property involved in an ap- plication for the installation of a licensed premises requiring other than a ''B’' (Dining Lounge) licence. Such amendment will, if favourably considered by the City Council, necessitate the holding of a Public Hearing in accordance with Section 720 of the Municipal Act in order to permit the establishment of such licensed premises on the specific site involved. BY-LAW NO. 5480 will define tne terms ‘amusement machine’, ‘arcade use” ‘‘commercial, social, and recreation facilities’’, and ‘‘vending machine’. and will pro- vide that an arcade use shall be accessory to a permitted principal use located in the C-1, C-2, CS-1, CS-2, and CS-3 Commercial Zones only, and only in commercial social and recreation facilities, as defined in By-law No. 5480, and shall occupy less than 40% of the gross floor area of such principal use. The proposed amending By-law will limit the number of amusement machines permitted: will require a distance of more than 100 metres from the location of another arcade use, and will prescribe the amount of floor area occupied by individual! amusement machines in an arcade use.
