Ice-cream robbery

TWO GIRLS were robbed at gunpoint on March 27 at
Bastin-Robbias Ice Cream Skop, 1327 Marine Dr. in
North Vancouver.
The giris were working at the store at approximately
6 p.m. when a lone gunman pointed a revolver at them
and told them to hand over money, according to a North
Vancouver RCMP spokesman.
_ ‘The suspect, described as 17 to 18 years old, was last
_ seen running west and then south towards Norgate Park
with an undetermined amount of cash,
: Police believe the suspect may have had a getaway car
’ located somewhere in the Norgate arca.
The suspect is described as being a Caucasian male,
thin with a frail build and light-brewn hair.
He was wearing a blie-stripzd, two-tone shirt, baggy
blue jeans and possibly runners.
_ Anyone sceing a persen fitting this description
between 6 and 7 p.m. in the area is requested to call
Const. Gordon Cooper or the Serious Crime section of
Abe North Vancouver RCMP at 985-1311.

NV man jailed

A 21-YEAR-OLD North Vancouver man was recently
jailed nine months in connection with a charge of pos-
’ sessing stolen property belonging to more than seven
"people, 7
‘Trevor Allan Smaill pleaded guilty to the charge
stemming from a Feb. 18, 1993 incident in North
Vancouver City... |
The stolen property, valued over $1,000, consisted of:
Ma drill and charger belonging fo one person;
&@ television, telephone answering machine and binocu-
lars belonging to a man;
Nintendo Gameboy, ‘video guines, tote bag and other
roperty belonging to a woman; °: . ‘
i stereo equipment belonging to a man;
