Man jailed for 60 days A 19-YEAR-OLD West Van- couver man was recently jailed a total of 60 days in con- nection with charges of assault, committing mischief, ‘drinking in public, escaping police custady and breaching probation. Stephen Robert Hodges pleaded guilty to the charges that involved: @ committing mischief on Feb. 4 by wilfully damaging "car stereo; : @ .breaching probation by drinking alcohol on Jan. 10 and Jan. 15; @ assaulting a person on Jan. 22;. Bi escaping lawful custody on Jan. 22; and - BR consuming liquor in a pub- lic place on Aug. 5, 1993, near McDonald’s parking lot in the 1400-block of Marine Drive. WV Baptist Church to say goodbye to minister THE WEST Vancouver Baptist Church is holding farewell and retirement events on Easter week- end for its long-time minister, Rev. Norman K. Archer. On Saturday, April 2, there will be a banquet at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and on Sunday, April 3, the Easter Service will be held at North Vancouver’s Centennial Theatre at 10 a.m., followed by a reception. Everyone is welcome.. Pastor Archer, the minister at West Vancouver Baptist since September 1984, is retiring after 40 years in the ministry. He and his wife Mary are moving to Victoria.
