Walking club launched

LONSDALE QUAY Market

Heart Smart North Shore and the
Heart and Stroke Foundation is
inviting the community to walk
for. fun and exercise every Mon-
day, Wednesday and Friday mor-
ning between 8 and 9:30 a.in.

The very first club walk will
take place on the second floor of
Lonsdale Quay Market on Wed-
nesday, Feb. 10 at 8 a.m.

Volunteers from Heart Smart
North Shore will demonstrate a
number of warm-up exercises to
the group and then kick off the

official first walk.

To join the free walking club,
simply register at the information
desk during market hours.

New members will receive an
information package which in-
cludes a map, mileage log and
heart, health, nutrition and
lifestyle pamphlets.

Members of the club will have
the opportunity to meet new peo-
ple and make new friends, while
keeping fit and having fun.
