NINE-YEAR-OLD Trevor Didier and other members of the Lynn Valley Super Readers Club have
written an open letier to MP Chuck Cook protesting his recent negative comments on Canadian
Literature. The students make it clear he doesn’t represent them on the issue and recommend a
few of their favorite Canadian children’s books, such as: Kit Pearson's ‘‘Looking at the Moon” and
Monica Hughes’ ‘‘Dream Catcher"’. They read approximately 13 books a month and estimate half

the titles are Canadian.
