The dolls are entirely handmade, from the molded
faces down to the last detail of fashionable clothing.
The craft requries time and patience, but the results
can be stunning. Anvone interested in creating a fami-
ly heirloom or even a very special Christmas gift will
be interested in attending this free library program.

DOLL MAKING is gaining in popularity. Displays of
handmade dolls at local libraries have attracted much
attention and books on the topic are seldom on the
she!f.

The Lynn Valley branch of North Vancouver
District Library currently has a display of dolls made
by one of the leading local practitioners of the craft,
Tish Orstad.

On Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m., Orstad will be at
the library to present a talk and demonstration of her
art.

It is suggested that Participants come in good time
for the event, as seating is limited. For more informa-
tion or for directions call the library at 984-0286. The
