Chorus Line
kicks up heels

THE 25-member cast of A Chorus
Line began rehearsals Monday at
the Vancouver Playhouse produc-
tion centre.

The musical opens March 29.

Jess Hyslop is director and
choreographer for this national
production. In addition to being
one of Canada’s most successful
and popular dancers, Hyslop is a
veteran of A Chorus Line.

He originated the role of Mike
in London’s West End production,
toured the United States and
Canada and performed on Broad-
way at the Shubert Theatre.

A Chorus Line is a major under-
taking for The Playhouse.

To accommodate the 25 dancers,
extra dressing rooms were con-
structed. ;
