B4 - Sunday News, Febraary 7, 1982 MONTREAL (UPC) - Honda Canada Inc. has agreed to repair its Civic and Accord models faced with rusting of the front fenders or to reimburse owners who already made the repairs, the Automobile Protection Association disclosed Thursday. APA director Mark Clapp said it would cost Honda between $1 milhon and $3.5 million for the repairs, he HILLCLIMBING TOYOTA? Not quite. The rusting must have started in the first three years of ownership. The offer is valid even if the vehicle was purchased as a used car. Those who had prior to the ent may be _cligible for reimbursement if a sworn affidA vit is produced. Advertisement action suit earlier this year against Honda in an attempt to force the company to repair rusting fenders. The suit was dismissed on a technicality. Honda = subsequently launched a suit to recover $675,000 in court costs, but a Supreme Court judge reduced the amount to $253.
