BOSTON (UPD - Grand- mothers, military and airline pilots, and women who fly corporate planes are among 700 flyers who plan to gather this. week at the 52nd annual convention of the Ninety- Nines. “Members come from all walks of life,” says Ninety- Nines President Janet Green of Ocean Springs, Miss. “Some are professional pilots. Ms. Tier began flying in 1927 and soloed in 1928. “My family sent me to London thinking ['d forget about flying, but I flew from London to Paris,” she said.
