Their furry customers can also expect hair bows and a bandana to top off their finished look at this new pet-grooming centre, which recently opened in North Vancouver’s Maplewoud Plaza. “All ove animals get VIP treatment here,” says owner, Cheryl Lundrigan, who is a certified groomer and holds a diploma in animal sciences. “We want all of our pets to have a happy and stress-free experience at the shop.” That includes special care for older dogs and cats, says Cheryl, who has becn grooming pets for 10 years. “Usually when you’re grooming a dog or cat, they are standing for 15 to 20 minutes, Older animals can’t handle that. It’s very painful on their hips and feet. We give them breaks so that they're not standing for a Jong time.” And if they’re not interested in standing, Cheryl will groom them sitting or lying down, whichever position is the most comfortable for them.
