Vancouver hotel recently when a guest

Desk clerks soed man to hospital

phoned the front desk to ask for an ambu-
lance.

The desk clerks offered their assistance,
and as Janmohaned drove a food-poisoned
Don Hessick lo Lions Gate Hospital, Kirk
retrieved Hessick’s medical card and other
personal belongings from his room.

“He'd come down without even his
shoes he was so sick,” says Kirk, who
quickly adds Hessick hadn't eaten at the

and approached the Vancouver Hospitality
Awards with his story.

“They continuously checked on me for
two days afterwards,” Hessick wrote in his
written nomination,

Both clerks were honored April 12.
