The Recycling Council proposes
‘four areas for the public to focus on
this month.

“bulky ‘ransport packaging — pallets,
ardboard. boxes, etc. — which

makes up 70% of all packaging. One

By composting grass clippings,
autumn leaves and faded bedding
plants, you can cut your October
waste in half.

Return waste products and pack-
aging to their producers. Take bever-
age containers back to bettle depots
for the refund. Take old paint back to

_paint collection programs organized

by paint manufacturers. Take used oil
back to the service station.

The Recycling Council of B.C.,
founded in 1974, is a non-profit orga-
nization with a membership that
includes local. governments, busi-
nesses, community groups and inter-
ested individuals.
