The police were instead looking for Possee’s sister Kelly and her boyfriend Justin King. Neither King nor Kelly Possee were in the house at the time of the drug raid, and the police found only a small amount of marijuana in the house. Under cross-examination by Derek Corrigan, the lawyer for the Possee family, Pollitt admitted that an RCMP officer was under the impression that Pollitt was first going to knock al the door of the basement suite and announce his entry.
