Cellular telephones approved
for W. Vancouver police team

WEST VANCOUVER | District
Council has gone ahead and ap-
proved one item on the 1988 Pro-
visional Police Capital Budget.

In response to a request from
Inspector G.E, Mackenzie, council
voted unanimously to approve the
lease of two éellular telephones at
a cost of $3,600,

speak Feb. 16 at North Vancouver
District's Lynn Valley library.

The provincial Minister for
Energy, Mines and Petroleum
Resources will discuss power,
energy and the proposed
Canada-U.S. free trade agreement.

Admission is free to the speech,
which is scheduled to run from
6:45 p.m. to 9 p.m.
