THE Gordon Sturtridge League junior bantam Stamps opened their 1986 season Sept. 21 with a 28-0 win over the Eskimos. The Stamps’ offence was led by tailback David Benson who had two touchdowns. Offensive end Russell Carriere added a touchdown pass reception and two converts. Quarterback Sandy Turner ran in the game’s first touchdown. Converts were scored by Hayes Becette and Chris Matlock. A team effort on defense sealed the shut-out victory for the Stamps when interception by Darren Davies picked off an = errant Eskimo pass.
