years ago has grown into an
annual Deep Cove event,
said Deep Cove Penguin
Plunge Club president Mer-
vyn Oversen,

This year the Penguin
Plunge is co-sponsored by

ation Commission.

The commission will be
supplying life guards and
opening the dressing rooms.

Oversen said Jast year's
plunge attracted 40 partici-
pants, but he said added
publicity should raise the
numbers to at least 50.

Almost 300 spectators
showed up fast year and
Oversen expects at least as
many as last year.

“If you just plunge and
jump out quickly you really
fecl. refreshed,’’ Oversen
said.
