B When selecting a cut tree for
your hojne, test for freshness
by tapping the base on the
ground or pulling gent on a
limb. If many needles tall off or
ean be easily pulled off, the tree
is too dry. The branches should
bend easily and not break.

B Keep your tee as fresh as
possible by placing the stump
of the wee in a bucket of water
out of doors until you are ready
to decorate. Before setting up
the tree inside the house, tam
two inches off the stem diago-

nally so it can absorb water. ©

Mount the tree securely in a
large, wide-based reservoir
