THE WEST Vancouver Cancer Soclety recently received an
award for raising the most dollars per capita. From feft, past
West Van chapter fundraising chairman Jim MacNaughton
and current chairman Phil Welham accept the award from
the Canadian Cancer Society’s Frances McLafferty.

Haircuts for habitat

A FUNDRAISING, and hair-raising,
experience for dad will be the order
of the day this Sunday at Watertront
Park in North Vancouver.

For $10, a top North Vancouver
stylist will cut not only dad’s hair,
but all who want to help the Wild
Bird Trust of British Columbia. All
proceeds from the Father’s Day
event will be used to establish the
North Shore's first bird sanctuary at
Maplewood Flats in North
Vancouver. Vouchers for the special
$10 rate are available at the partici-

pating shops, and will qualify hold-
ers for several prize draws.
Participating shops include: Andre‘s
New Reflection, Beverly Ball Hair
Design, Hair Co., Hatz Hair Design,
Hair Mode Design, Innovators Hair
Design, and Park Lane Hair Design.
Carson Graham secondary school
and Goldwell Pacific Hair Cosmetics
are also sponsoring the fundraising
event.
