LOCAL FUNDING - NORTH VANCOUVER-based Creation Technologies will receive a $200,000 loan from the Western Eccnomic Diversification Canada (WD) fund to help the firm launch its products into world- wide markets. The local compan’ manufac- tures music products for profes- sional musicians and recording - studios, as well.as custom compo- 3RIEFS nents for electronic equipment manufacturers. The WD funding will go towards the cost of new products, inventory build-up and an inter- national marketing campaign. Total costs of the project are estimated at $425,000. Barry Henderson, president and general manager of Creation, said he expects a strong growth market for the next several years in the professional audio industry. “Our ability to expand in the market depends on our ability to produce quality products at com- petitive prices,’’ said Henderson. The company is presently de- veloping an innovative new line of digital audio products for perfor- ming musicians which will provide simple and inexpensive solutions to studio interfacing problems.
