WOMEN NOMINATED SEVERAL NORTH Shore women are among 52 others who have been nominated for 1991 YWCA Women of Distinction Awards. This year’s nominations include physicians, human rights ad- vocates, small businesswomen, writers, educators and a television broadcaster. Vancouver resident and news anchor/reporter Martin is one of three nominated in the com- and public affairs West BCTV Pamela women munications category. Martin was the first female reporter on CKNW radio, the first permanent female TV anchor in B.C., and the winner of TV Week Viewers’ Choice Award for Favorite TV Personality four years running.
