30th anniversary
brings back flood
of memories

30th =birthday as something
akin to the plague, but in
the case of Argyle Second-
ary School, celebrating its
30th anniversary this) year,
students and staff are going
atit with groove and gusto.

years rebellious teenagers wore

vests, headbands and the un-
forgivingly short mini-skirt.

Argyle staff and students, how-
ever, have launched headlong into
a veritable "66s remember-in.

Physical Education teacher Les
Wilson, who has been at the
school for 24 years, describes last
week as ‘ta very busy week. But
worth it. There's a lot of excite-
ment around here.”

In the spirit of nostalgia, teach-
ers bravely volunteered to post
photos of their bee-hived and
ory!creamed selves, circa 1960,
which the students were invited to
identify.

Every morning four °60s trivia
questions (such as, whar famous

opened."
