Property owners are reminded that the deadline for
1985 applications for the Provincial Home Owner
Grant is 4:30 p.m. December 31, 1985. The Home
Owner Grant may be claimed by eligible owners
without payment of taxes due.

ADVANCE PAYMENT OF
TAXES

The City of North Vancouver has adopted a bylaw
which makes it possible for property owners to pay
their property taxes in advance and to receive in-
terest on the advance payment under the following
conditions.

Advance payments may be made only between

“anuary 2nd and January 31st, 1986 inclusive.

A minimum payment of $25.00 is required.

Interest will be allowed from the date payment is
received to July 2, 1986 inclusive.

Interest earnings will be credited to the current
year taxes.

The rate of interest to be applied on monies receiv:
ed by the Collector will be the Prime commercial
lending rate of interest charged from time to time by
the Royal Bank of Canada, minus two percent.
