WEST VANCOUVER

$1.5-million
for sewerage

WEST VANCOUVER municipal council has given
approval in principle to a proposed $1.5 million ex-
tension of the current sewer system to include the
area north of Horseshoe Bay along the Squamish

highway.

In order to bring about the
extension and also use the
Lions Gate Sewage Treat-
ment Plant for the handling
of the additional sewage, the
municipality must get the
support of the Greater Van-
couver Sewerage and
Drainage District, which has
in preliminary meetings
reacted favorably to the
proposal.

Prior to the construction

1985, it is planned to provide
an interim sewage treatment
plant & collection system for
