Co-op housing for Bowen A CO-OPERATIVE housing project will be constructed in Bowen Island with help from the federal govern- Ment, according to an an- nouncement by Senator Ray Perrault on behalf of federal housing minister Romeo LeBlanc. The full capital cost of the project, approximately $1.1 millon, is being met with a Canada Mortgage = and Housing Corporation, the Government of Canada’s housing agency. Assistance will be in the form of a maximum annual subsidy -of approximately $109,000 to reduce the mortgage interest rate to as low as two per cent.
