herd. The shepherd's owner, who was tracked down by Joan, said he will pay the vet bills.

sheltie, Bandit, was attacked by
a German shepherd.

tried to pull the shepherd away from
the leashed sheltie.

Richard said he did not overreact.

Kass said he let his four-year-old
shepherd off the leash to relieve
itself! when Richard and Bandit
came around the comer. Kass’ dog
then attacked Bandit, surprising
Kass. “It was just an accident.” he
said.

He said he did not notice that
Richard’s hand was bleeding and
said he stepped in to help Richard as
soon as the attack began.

Kass said he was told the vet bill
would come to $1,500 to $1,700 and
he will pay it. Dogs aren‘t allowed in
McCartney Creek Park.
