Gibsons requires the services of an experienced, qualified oon
Building Inspector to act as Relief Building Inspector during

holidays, peak times ete.

in our community! A challenging, full-time opportunity exists in our Financial

Services Division for an Accounting Clerk to perform the
intermediate level, moderately complex payrol} and general
accounting duties. Ths successful applicant will have con-
siderable experience in general accounting, supplemanted
by a strong working knowledge of accounts receivable,
bonkkeeping, computerized accounting and payroll sys-  §
tems, Preference will be given to candidates enrolled in the ~
3rd year of a recognized accounting program. Previous
experience in use of Windows based programs is desired.
Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal
skills are essential for success in this position.

The selected candidate will be responsible for building and
plumbing inspection and business license functions: plan
checking, reviewing construction in progress, issuing permits
and licenses. The position requires considerable knowledge
of the Building Code and experience with Zoning Bylaws
and other development bylaws. ‘Phe preferred candidate
must have good communication skills, a minimum of tive
years municipal Building Inspection experience, a dermon-
strated knowledge of the 1992 B.C. Building and Plumbing
Codes, and B.LA.B.C. certification (Level 2 preferred).
