Museum guides needed for local exhibits THE FOLLOWING is a selec- tion of volunteer opportunities available through North Shore Community Services (NSCS). Museum guides are needed Tuesday to Saturday in the aflernoon to help guide people through the museum and to assist with groups of school children) who tour the exhibits. An office clerk is needed by an organization that helps people recovering from mental illness. Duties include data entry, photo- copying, filing and general office work assisting the job training coun- selor. Humane education presenters are needed by a Vancouver-based organization to present programs to school children emphasizing caring, respectful relationships between humans and animals. Training is provided. Volunteer servers are needed to serve a hot evening meal to seniors in a number of facilities on the North Shore. Duties include helping set up, serving the meal, socializing with the residents and clean-up after- wards. Volunteers work in teams, Entertainers who are willing to perform on a volunteer basis are needed to be part of a resource list. From time to time agencies and organizations request entertainers for special events and North Shore Community Services would like to increase its list of available volun- teer performers.
