The Thai Palace, which opened in this ScaBus terminal location in 1995, closed at the end of February after losing the Lower Lonsdale Thai food bartle with the larger Thai House on the corner of Chesterfield and Esplanade. But the sccond-storey har- bour-side dining room did not stay vacant for long. Sabatucci, who left uic Village Bistro earlier this year to secure a restaurant of his own, has joined with partner Danny Peragine in Caruso. The restaurant should be open by the time you read this. As its name suggests, Caruso is Italian all the way.
