You may not be aware that an
historic residence in your com-
munity, namely, the Caulfeild
house at 4768 Pilot House Road,
built in 1909, was recently
demolished through a permit
issued by staff.

This venerable 90-year-old house,
Nisted in the initial heritage inven-
tory of 1984 and more recently by the

‘Good guy’

We were dismayed to read of
your recent problems with your
plumbing and your plumber, we
sympathize! Might we suggest next
time you shop around and find
one of us ‘Good Guys’.

Yes, we are out there, working
six Gays a week, sometimes even
on Sundays to accommodate our
customers, most of whom would
not dream of taking cime off to
accommodate us. We are honest,
hard-working, take pride in’ our
werk and value our customers and

Though it is true that it is hard to

Dear Editor:

| just finished reading the article
on Shaw Cable and the new
channels they are coming out
with. | agree with Mr. Chris Weiz
on the useless channels (Letters,
July 24).

When I received the information
by mail, [ wrote to Shaw Cable, [
told them that I don’t watch or
need religious channels, don’t
have a family, don’t believe in the
weather forecast, so why pay. I
even asked if somehow they could
exclude me from these services |
don’t plan to use.

I don’t mind the extra dollar, but
do we really have a choice? | like
to relax after coming home from
work. Perhaps read or listen to
music more.

Maybe someone out there should
start another cable network. I
wonder if there are others out
there who are also not happy with
cable’s newest idea to make
money off us. Let’s hear from
you.
