Inquiry into Part-time Work,
will speak on ‘‘Part-time
Work: What Does It Mean
for Women?’’ on Sunday,
November 20 at 11 a.m. at a
Sunday Brunch sponsored by
the North Shore Women’ s
Centre. The Brunch will be
held in the Garibaldi Room
of the Four Seasons Hotel,
Vancouver.

of the Vancouver Status of
Women, was appointed head
of the commission by the
federal Ministry of Labor in
the spring of 1982. Her
report on part-time work was
completed before the sum-
mer, printed and released by
the government in Sep

A well-known worker in
politics and for women,
Wallace lost to pro-life ac-
tivists in her bid for a provin-
cial legislative seat before she
was appointed to the com-
mission. She has also worked
as the Executive Director of
the Retail Merchants
Association of Vancouver,
and has been public relations
director for the Red Cross.
