Spending Christmas away

stuck in some real holes, that
the food would be awful,
that there would be no
feeling of privacy.

All fears were groundless.
Apart from the obvious cost
saving, almost without
exception cach place was
spotless, the pcople were
friendly, and genuinely
interested in us and our
plans, and the food was
plentiful and good.

Many of the B&B's will
also provide a dinner if you
let them know ahead. And
that’s handy. After a day on
the road or wandering about
in the rain, it’s good to know
that you can head back to
the house for a hot meal
rather than having to search
about trying to decipher the
strange conception of high
tea and dinncr and then
trying to figure out why no
