students have returned
from the Atlantic Band
Festival with more
hardware for the
school’s trophy case.

Festival. Handsworth was the
only school west of Ontario

week,” said Rebagliati.

The North Vancouver
school scooped several awards
at the May 2 Halifax festival.

Handsworth Jazz Quartet
was judged Most Promising
Group. The quartet is Laila
Biali on piano, Charlotte
Mould on trombone, Sean
Clark on drums and Brandi
Disterheft on string bass. All
are Grade 12 students.

Handsworth students also
picked up individual awards.
