Caregivers show off new North Van offices NORTH SHORE Caregivers Sup- port Society is ho’ding an open house to celebrate ns new offices at Suite 8 - 103 West 3rd St., North Vancouver, on Thursday, Sept. 26. At the event, taking place from 3 to $:30 p.m., guests are invited to visit the office’s resource library, specializing in subjects pertaining to family caregivers. The library is made possible by funding from the Senior Health Network and the Vancouver Foundation. A full program is being planned for the fall. In North Vancouver, the weekly Tuesday afternoon meetings are held in the offices on West 3rd Street. The West Vancouver Caregivers Support Group meets every Wed- nesday afternoon. On Sept. 25 at 1:30 p.m., the guest speaker will be Margaret Kelly, administrator of the Margaret Fulton Adult Day Care Centre. The meetings take place at 275 - 2Ist St., West Vancouver. These workshops will be held in the North Vancouver office. Together with the North Shore Community Services, North Shore Caregivers Supports Society is co-sponsoring 2 legal workshop entitled, “‘All You've Needed to Know, But Never Knew Whom To Ask.” It will take place on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. at the Capilano Library. The speakers panel comprising of legal experts will make a presentation followed by a generous question and answer period. RecCentre offering pre and postnatal fitness classes NEW THIS faii at the Lynn Valley recreation cenire, located at 3590 Mountain Hwy., is a pre- and postnatal exercise class being offered Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6 p.m. This program will Oct. f. Pre- and postnatal programs are ideal for women currently on an exercise program but are presnant and need exercise modifications for comfort, and for those who have delivered their babies and commence would like to start a new exercise program. This program is great for women to meet others with infants to exchange ideas and informa- tion. Women shauld not embark on any exercise program during this time without approval from a physician.
