It all adds up to grand dining,
Mexican-Spanish style. If Pepitas
lives up to what's offered in its
menu, the North Shore cining
horizon will be that much brighter
and more interesting.

LUNCHINGTONS, ANYONE?

Having recentiy jogged the
lunch circuit more frequently than
usual, | have come up with two
good deals for those who would
disparage the immortal words of
George Gecko in Wall Street that
“lunch is for wimps.”

Cheers (985-9192) and Cafe
Roma (984-0274} both have good
deals and good grub to offer.

The former features a soup,
croissantwich and salad bar dea!
that weighs in at under $5 and
provides just about all the food
any midday diner could hope to
digest.

And it’s good, basic food, too.

At Roma, which was recently
recognized by the international
italian Academy of Cuisine for the
restaurant’s dedication to main-
taining the exacting standards of
genuine Italian cuisine, prices are
higher but so is the level of food
preparation.

You can choose from a set menu

that includes meat and fish en-
trees, pastas and soups ard salads
or sandwiches ($4 to $13) or take
a lap around Roma’s small hot
buffet table and put together any
combination for $9.95.

Both Cheers and Cafe Roma put
an emphasis on quick service at
lunch.

For wimps they may be, but
lunches can be a welcome break
in the midst of any day.

Following six weeks of renova-
tion it resurfaced as a combination
art gallery and non-smoking cafe
