champions North Shore
Dynamos will be taking on

time provincial

Coquitlam Satellites in
senior women’s hockey
action Thursday night at the
North Van Rec Centre.

And it will be a special
game. In attendance will be
a touring women’s Japanese
hockey team, with the game
being taped for. replay back
inJapan. .-

Dynamos, the perennial
provincial hockey cham-
pions, currently have a 10-1
record in the season and it
would appear that the
Japanese girls want to see
the best.

night is 9 p.m.

A pair of North Shore
bicycle racers are off to the
National Championships
back East this weekend as a
result of their performances
in the provincial cyclo-cross
finals at Munday Park in
Coquitlam over on Sunday.

Brent Mudry of West Van
adds the B.C. crown to this
already well filled honors list
as a result of his place finish
in the 23 km clyclo-cross in a
time of one hour, seven
minutes and 44 seconds.

Joining Mudry at the
Nationals will be Andy
Hansen of North Van who
captured third in the

‘provincial championships

with a time of 1:12:54.

New slate
for bowlers

Eric Holt is the newly
elected president of the
West Vancouver Lawn
Bowling Club with Ron
Maunder as Vice President,
Lawrence Wall, Secretary
and Bill Davidson = as
Treasurer.

Directors are Ev Cousins,

Organized for the 1934-35
season, the Harlem Clowns
today have the distinction of
being the second oldest
professional barnstorming
basketball team in existence.
Only the Globetrotters out-
rank them in years.

Pullins, with 50 years of
basketball behind him, can't
even guess how many coast
to coast trips he has made or
how many towns his teams
have played in. They range
from the smallest town with
a barn-like gym in America
to the world's largest city,
Tokyo, Japan and its huge
Municipal Auditorium.
