Stratton, was treated to 2 belated birthday party recently at the Kiwanis Lynn Manor Auditorium. One hundred and twenty- seven guests turned out to honour Major Stratton who came out of retirement in 1967 to start the club and lead it for nine years. In a short address, Major Stratton delighted all present with her sincerity and wonderful sense of humour. The tuncheon was organized and convened by Edith Atkinson of Lynn Manor and the catering was carried out by members of the Home Ladies League. Army Reserve operation October 4-5 plans to build a suspension bridge, culverts and obstacles at the North Vancouver Outdoor School near Squamish, B.C. Membcrs of the Everett, Wash.-based 409th Enginecrs and personnel of the 6th Field Engincer Squadron of the Canadian Armed Porces Reserve will participate in the two-day operation. The school is part of the North Vancouver School District and is located about 40 miles north of Vancovver, B.C.
