tra-curricular activity that in no
way involves fashion, Firus reveals
she enjoys rock climbing, but is
quick to add she has painted her
tock-climbing boots purple.

Her show at the Crafthouse now
over — two pieces having moved
on to the Seymour Art Gallery,
where they will be on display until
Sept. 5 — Firus focuses her
energies on creating a real-life
House of Drop Dead Vogue.

“Vm looking for a warehouse
right now, where | can live and
work and have a gallery space ...
where | can paint the walls black
and purple and hang giant purses
from the ceiling.”

And in pursuit of the ultimate
commission, she turns her atten-
tion to an as-yet-unexplored mar-
ket south of the border: A cigar
box for Arnold Swarzenegger? Or
a Corset napkin holder for
Madonna? For Firus, anything
seems possible. :
