Hospital fundraiser
used to scam money

NORTH Shore residents planning to donate to
Lions Gate Hospital’s major fundraiser this year
are asked to be cautious.

ed money for the event in West Vancouver, but has not passed
on the funds to the hospital

Fundraisers for the 9-1-1 Relay are currently going door-to-
door for the event.

Sinn said residents may also give their donations directly to
9-1-1 participants.
The 9-1-1 Relay will be held at Ambleside Park on Sunday,
Sepr. 20.
Sinn said relay organizers hope to raise $120,000 this year.

Fisher telis stories

FLYFISHER Art Lingren will share his stories
about B.C.’s great outdoors next Wednesday at
the Seymour Demonstration Forest.

The lecture takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Learning
Lodge, the education building located at the north end of the
Rice Lake parking lot in North Vancouver. The demonstration
forest is located at the north end of Lillooet Road in North
Vancouver, approximately three kiiometres north of Capilano
College,

Join Lingren Aug. 19 to learn how fishing has changed over
the years. He will also share some stories about historical sport-
fishing in the North Shore rivers.

Pre-registration and $3 per person are required. For more
