Huelse is a North Vancouver building manager who was filling a vacancy last week when chungs turned sour. A man who called himself Bob had expressed interest in renting the suite and made plans to look at it asc Wednesday. “I couldn’t show him this par- ticular suite because it was so messy,” said Huelse, who had arranged to show an identical one ona different floor. tHuclse said Bab seemed ta like what he saw and expressed an inter- est in taking it. “He told me he was just gutting off work and he was going to came back with his wife,” said Hnelse, 67. The avo made their way back to Huclse’s apartment where Bob could fill out an application. The prospective tenant left soon after without incident. Some time later, it hit Huelse: his wallet was missing. To make matters worse the occupant of the suite he had shown to the man con- tacted him a short time later to say some of her jewelry was also miss- ing. “This is what is going on on the North Shore sight now,” surmised Huelse. “This ane detinicely knew what he was doing.” In addition to having his faith in peopie deeply shaken, Huelse is faced with the prospect oF repiacing the contents of his wallet. In addi- tion to the usual driver’s licence and credit cards he is out $140 cash.
