The event will be held in Mexico City, Oct. 21-25. The pair will be the only repre- sentatives from Canadian among players from the U.S., Jamaica, Peru, Guatemala and Mexico. Reid is currently ranked in the top four in the girls’ singles event in the under-16 age category, and Rice is the Canadian nationat singles charapion in her age group. Hollyburn head pro Zip Dhanani will accompany the pair to Mexico where the girls will compete in the under-16 and under-i8 age categories. Dhanani said that playing in Mexico will be a new experience for the girls; they will have to get used to breathing the thin air because of the high altitude.
